Accountant

My client is a Local Authority in Nottinghamshire who are looking to appoint a talented Group Finance Manager on a Contract basis.

About the role:

Based in Nottinghamshire (Hybrid):

What's on offer:

• Salary: £300+ per day inside IR35.

*negotiable based on experience

• Contract type: Contract (37hrs a week)
• Hours: 09:00 -17:30 Monday to Friday

Responsibilities:

To support the Principal Accountant or Principal Capital Accountant in promoting best financial practice throughout the authority.

Month end reconciliation, Prepayments & Accruals.

Managing insurance claims - Monitoring the progress of the claims and liaising with Insurers and internal colleagues.

About you:You will have the following experience:

Public Sector Financial Management.

Membership of AAT or part-professionally qualified accountant, or part AAT qualified plus significant relevant financial management experience.
