Accounts Administrator

  • Job Type: Full-time (37.5 hours, 100% office based)
  • Length of assignment: September to mid-December.
  • Location: Sutton, Surrey (town centre based)
  • Hourly rate: £12.50-13.50 per hour PAYE or £15.58- £16.68 per hour via an umbrella company.

We are seeking a dedicated accounts administrator to act as an ambassador for a leading charity in the local area. 

Day to Day of the role:

  • Sitting in the finance department you will serve as the first line support inbound calls, handling charity donations and trading orders SAGE systems.
  • Promote Gift Aid and regular giving to maximise supporter contribution.
  • Manage the charity’s Email Inbox and telephone Answerphone.
  • Make outgoing calls to registered Benefactors as required regarding donations and processing the income on the system.
  • Process queries received by email, phone, or post and provide solutions or explanations to donors.
  • Process all forms of income to the charity, including web orders and donations, phone calls, postal orders and donations, and gifts given at appeals and events.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Passion for delivering excellent customer experience.
  • Experience in a service-related environment, including communicating with customers.
  • Confident conversational skills over the phone.
  • High standard of written communication with excellent grammar.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Interest in working in a finance department dealing with the income.
