ACCOUNTS ADMINISTRATOR – Belfast
SALARY: £28,000 – £31,000 per annum
EMPLOYMENT: Permanent and full-time (open to reduced hours),
Reed Accountancy is partnered with a respected and established organisation in Belfast in the appointment of an Accounts Administrator to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Working in a fast-paced environment, the successful candidate will collaborate with their established finance and accountancy team. They will play a vital role in supporting the daily financial operations of the organisation and driving improvements in processes and controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for daily banking, cash flow modelling, and treasury management for all group companies.
- Lead and support the development and documentation of financial processes and procedures to ensure strong financial control.
- Assist the payroll coordinator and manage all month-end reconciliations of payroll and pension control accounts.
- Prepare UK and ROI VAT returns, ensuring all reconciliations are complete and compliant.
- Enhance system functionality to improve efficiency and reporting.
- Support the sales ledger function by posting sales invoices and credit notes, processing receipts, and generating statements.
- Assist the purchase ledger function by processing invoices and credit notes, and reconciling payments.
What you need to succeed:
- Educated to GCSE level including Maths and English at grade C and above, or equivalent.
- At least 2 years’ experience working in a finance/administration role
- Strong Microsoft Excel Skills
- Working knowledge of integrated accounting system
