Accounts Assistant - Reed : Job Details

• Salary: Up to £36,000 per annum

Reed Accountancy is looking for a high-calibre Accounts Semi-Senior to join the expanding team of a medium-sized accounting firm based in the heart of London. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, able to work to tight deadlines, and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. An interest in understanding clients’ businesses and contributing to the growth of our niche-oriented practice is essential.

• Preparing accounts from client records and ensuring accuracy in the working paper file.
• Demonstrating knowledge of Income Tax and VAT in account preparation.
• Reviewing work in progress (WIP) and debtors with a view to profitability.
• Assisting Partners in client meetings when required and acting as a responsible team member.
• Providing support, development, and guidance to junior staff members.
• Producing work for manager and partner review with minimal need for further input, highlighting issues and suggesting potential solutions.

• Computer literacy is a must.
• Up-to-date technical knowledge, including recent developments in accounting standards.
• Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• ACCA part qualified or fully qualified (study support is not provided)
• Minimum of 1 years’ experience in accounts preparation assignments.
• Working knowledge of Xero, VT, Sage Line 50, and CCH Central.
