Your new companyI am currently working with a well-established legal organisation based in central Lancaster, who are looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant on a full-time and permanent basis. With a longstanding tradition of delivering comprehensive legal solutions, this distinguished firm has become a pillar of the community.Your new roleAs an Accounts Assistant, you will be a vital part of the Accounts Department, ensuring seamless and efficient operations. Your role will involve managing daily financial transactions, including payments, receipts, electronic transfers, petty cash, bills, client enquiries, interest calculations, banking, and cheque printing. You will also be responsible for preparing financial reports, supporting the accountants during their semi-annual reviews, and ensuring strict adherence to legal and financial regulations. Additionally, you will handle the reconciliation of all client accounts and assist with Credit Control as necessary. What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in accounting, with experience of managing various financial tasks and ensuring compliance with regulations. Proficiency in electronic banking and financial reporting is essential. You should be detail-oriented, with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate and rectify discrepancies. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are also crucial for this role. What you'll get in returnIn return for this, you will be offered a competitive salary of £28,000 - £32,000 depending on your level of experience.
