We are seeking a Finance Officer to join our wonderful Christian organisation / Charity based in Coventry. We want someone who shares our values, mission, and beliefs. Your main responsibility is to manage and assist with all of the financial company needs as listed below; You will be working closely with the Finance Director and Accounting & Reporting Supervisor. This is a very impactful ministry so we would expect the candidate to have a heart for Jesus to make the greatest impact within the team and company.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and external providers
• Review and coding of invoices using Sage 200
• Review and implement financial policies
• Maintain the expense side of the cash book on the accounting system and monthly bank.
• Assist with employee queries / expenses
• Petty cash
• Manage corporate credit cards
• Maintaining compliant policies and procedures with regards to income
• Prepare weekly and monthly annual income reports
• Reconciliation of bank and online donations
• Processing gift aid claims
• Assisting with the budget

Qualifications / Skillset

• Part ACCA or ACCA qualified preferred
• Experience of 2+ years in a finace / accounts assistant role
• Knowledge of UK Accounts
• Experience in a similar Accounts assistant role
• To be an evangelical Christian and partake in prayer mornings and devotions
• People person
• Knowledge of Sage
• It literate
• Team player
• We do require 2+ years experience working in a financial / accounts assistant role
• Full time / office based role

Salary / Benefits

• Salary 25,000 to 30,000 depending on experience
