ROLE OVERVIEW

Role: Accounts Assistant

Reporting to: Billing Team Leader

Location: Leeds

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

As Accounts Assistant, you will be working within the Finance team which handles all aspects of financial support to the Block Management and Lettings Team. The job will be overseen by the Billing Team Leader in the first instance and report to the Block Finance Manager overall.

Billing

  • Issuing budgets via budget wizard,
  • Monthly demand runs for recurring charges
  • Resolving internal and external queries
  • Working closely with property managers
  • Ad hoc recharges

Banking

  • Posting cash receipts based on a rota
  • Resolving queries and mis posted receipts
  • Ground rent payments to freeholders (quarterly routine)
  • Any other ad hoc support to the banking team

Lettings

  • Entering invoices payable
  • Payments to contractors
  • Daily cash posting (allocating rent to correct tenants)
  • Payments of rent received to landlords
  • Month end process including bank reconciliation and passing fees over to be recognised as revenue by the business
  • Any other ad hoc duties to support lettings managers

  • Ability to gather, assimilate, analyse and effectively summarise information and give briefings/prepare briefing notes as necessary
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.

  • Use initiative and take responsibility for providing solutions.
  • To ensure confidentiality and security of all business, client and customer documentation/information.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
