Reed Accountancy & Finance are excited to offer a temporary Accounts Assistant position on behalf of our client, a prominent player in the construction industry based in Maidstone. Accounts Assistant Day-to-day of the role:
  • Assist with the preparation of financial documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable and receivable.
  • Complete purchase orders and manage payroll functions.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly financial reports.
  • Manage company ledgers and handle client queries.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Verify balances in account books and rectify discrepancies.
Accounts Assistant Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar role, ideally within the construction sector.
  • Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel; familiarity with finance software (e.g., QuickBooks).
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information.

The ideal candidate for this Accounts Assistant position would need to demonstrate experience obtained from a similar payroll role, be in commutable distance to our client in Maidstone, be able to work full-time in our office, and be available to start work immediately.

Salary : 13.21 - 15.91
