About the RoleThis role is ideal for a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant skilled in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes. You will play a pivotal role in supporting the small finance team, handling transactions, managing invoices, and addressing customer and supplier queries. 

Duties will include:

  • Processing, verifying, and recording supplier invoices, ensuring correct coding and timely payments
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
  • Monitoring accounts to maintain up-to-date payments and identifying overdue balances
  • Preparing payment runs and maintaining transaction records
  • Generating customer invoices and credit notes and tracking outstanding payments
  • Reconciling customer accounts and preparing monthly statements and aged debt reports

About the Successful ApplicantThe ideal candidate will have previous experience in an Accounts Assistant role with both AP and AR responsibilities, proficiency in accounting software (such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero), and strong skills in Microsoft Excel. Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and professional communication abilities are essential.
