Your new companyHays Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be partnering with an industry-leading manufacturing company in Downham Market who, due to internal promotion, are looking to recruit a new Accounts Assistant. This family-run business has been operating for over 30+ years and manufactures a wide range of products & solutions for their clients. They pride themselves on delivering a tailored service to their customers under-pinned by their excellent customer service support team.

Your new roleIn this Accounts Assistant job, you will join the finance team and take responsibility for processing all supplier invoices, ensuring these invoices are coded to the relevant cost-code/project for the wider finance team to report on regarding production costs, as well as be responsible for accurate filing of finance documentation, updating supplier details and dealing with supplier queries. You will report to the Finance Manager, who will delegate other finance tasks across the purchase ledger, sales ledger and general ledgers.

You will also process staff expenses and manage a busy finance in-box on behalf of the finance team.What you'll need to succeedYou will ideally be an AAT student or AAT qualified and possess exceptional organisational and time management skills, as well as be able to work in a fast-paced finance team along with proven finance processing skills.

The role has a view to progress with more responsibilities across the purchase, sales, and general ledgers. Therefore, we are keen to hear from ambitious finance professionals who are keen to progress in their finance career.

We expect you to be confident with Excel, have accurate processing and strong analytic skills with excellent attention to detail.

What you'll get in returnThe organisation offers a competitive salary of circa £27,000 - £32,000 depending on experience. This will be an office-based role, working hours from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday, with paid holiday and car-parking.
