Reed Accountancy are proud to be working with a business near Wakefield who are recruiting a Junior Accounts Assistant to join their team. You will assist the Management Accountant with Purchase Ledger and Credit Control duties. Training will be provided, graduates/apprentices are also encouraged to apply. This is a part-time and permanent position.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accurately input and process invoices
- Maintain and reconcile supplier statements
- Prepare and process payments to suppliers
- Ensure compliance with company policies
- Assist in the preparation of monthly reports related to purchase ledger activities
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable
- Reconcile customer accounts
- Ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices
- Communicate with clients regarding overdue payments
You will need to demonstrate:
- Strong analytical and problem solving-skills
- Degree in Accountancy or studying AAT or experience within a similar environment
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ideally drive with access to own car (desirable – due to location)
