Assistant Accountant Location: Trafford ParkSalary: £26,000 - £28,000 Axon Moore are partnering with a leading PE backed client in a really interesting and dynamic industry, a client who we have worked with closely for a number of years to appoint a permanent full time Assistant Accountant. Due to a recent acquisition the opportunity has arisen to join a closeknit finance team - a excellent opportunity to expand and diversify your finance experience into a business that is continuing to grow! You will join as part of the wider finance team and working closely with the finance leaders. Beginning in a transactional finance position before taking on month end and Management Accounting duties. Personal Benefits:

Daily Duties:

• Maintain accounts in Sage and produce monthly trial balances
• Full management of the accounting package – currently Sage 50, including all journal entries, invoice processing and expenses.
• Provide insight into business performance on a weekly/monthly basis
• Full management of cash, bank reconciliations and managing petty cash.
• Processing of payments in Multiple Currencies.
• Prepare Prepayments, Accruals & maintain FA register
• Preparing quarterly UK VAT return
• Ad hoc projects for senior members of the business
• Assist with the financial audit
• Report discrepancies or mistakes to senior management
• Assist with annual budgeting

Personal Experience:

• Working towards or achieved AAT L3
• Experience in a similar finance assistant / accounts assistant position
• Ideally experienced in SAGE 50
• Possess strong analytical skills
• Motivated to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills - able to communicate financial information in a way that non-financial people can understand it
