They are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their Accounting & Finance team to assist in managing our day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual who is adept at working in a fast-paced retail environment.

Description

As an Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the finance department, accountant, and management team by completing routine clerical and accounting tasks.
  • Completing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts receivable data.
  • Maintaining records by filing documents.
  • Preparing reports by collecting and analysing account information.
  • Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
  • Contributing to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
  • Adhering to all company, local, state, and federal accounting and financial regulations.
  • Keeping informed about current legislation relating to finance and accounting.

Profile

A successful Accounts Assistant should have:

  • Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software.
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports.
  • Understanding of mathematics and accounting and financial processes.
  • Ethical behaviour when dealing with sensitive financial information.
  • High degree of attention to detail and trustworthiness.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise work.
