TalentEdge are supporting a leading and award-winning business in the Leyland area in finding a new addition to their finance team. This is a newly created, permanent Accounts Assistant role to join their team of 4 due to expansion. This is an all-round role, assisting all members of the finance team when required, therefore a good opportunity to learn all areas of accounts.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Processing purchase ledger invoices and receipting in
- Checking invoices which arrive in the Accounts Payable inbox
- Providing cover to the PL supervisor when on annual leave, covering statement recs, queries processing supplier payments and dealing with incoming calls from suppliers
- Learning and understanding the AR function how this is carried out by the credit controller and providing holiday cover
- Ad-hoc account reconciliations
- Credit card statement reconciliation
- Reporting on stock
Experience in a previous accounts assistant, purchase ledger or sales ledger role is essential.
