Finance/HR & Administrator

Join our team as a Finance/HR Administrator. This role is not just about managing finances and payroll; it involves a blend of accounts, HR, administrative, and health & safety tasks. We are looking for someone with a proactive attitude who is ready to dive into various challenges and contribute to our dynamic environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide cover for Accounts Payable staff and assist with payroll processes.
- Manage posting of overhead expenses on Sage and handle credit control activities.
- Process payments and handle customer and supplier queries efficiently.
- Conduct duty and VAT account reconciliations along with balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts and audits.
- Liaise with the Operations team to check for customer payments and release jobs on hold.
- Work with the Sales team to set up new sales accounts on internal systems and review customer credit applications.
- Maintain up-to-date internal systems and complete credit applications for purchases.
- Manage office health & safety and keep relevant documentation current, including fire safety and desktop assessments.
- Assist with annual insurance renewals and the onboarding of new starters.
- Perform ad hoc tasks as required to support various departmental needs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Significant experience in finance and payroll administration.
- Familiarity with Sage and other accounting software.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise with various internal teams.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to take on a variety of responsibilities.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations is advantageous.
