Accounts & Audit Manager 

Our client is a well established and highly respected accounting firm, based in Epsom, Surrey. They currently seek a qualified ACA or ACCA Accountant, ideally with previous audit and managerial experience. 

This is a key role within the firm and you will be working closely with the Partners. The firm has a broad client portfolio (predominantly SME's and limited companies) with some not-for-profit organisations too. You will also manage and develop a small team to ensure the timely production of high-quality work. 

This role will suit an ambitious individual and excellent career prospects are offered, which may result in a direct route to Partnership. 

The role is varied (circa 80% Accounts and 20% Audit) and suits a well organised, self motivated individual, who can inspire and develop others, whilst building strong working relationships with existing and new clients. 

The core responsibilities include: 

• Dealing with a varied client portfolio including partnerships, sole trader and limited companies.
• Some year-end accounts preparation for review by Partner.
• Assistance with preparation and reporting of management accounts.
• Assistance with preparation and submission of VAT returns.
• Preparation of corporation tax computations and supporting returns.
• Lead on and carry out audits, as and when required, training others in the team and reviewing work.
• Manage the workflow within the accounts team to include jobs and resource planning, together with final delivery and WIP management.
• Assist team on producing charity accounts and returns.
