About Us:

TPF Recruitment is working with a well-established accountancy practice in the Croydon area that are looking to recruit an Accounts Manager / Director. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accountancy professional to join an accountancy practice that are undergoing a process of modernisation.

Role Overview:

As an Accounts Manager / Director, you will take responsibility for managing a portfolio of clients across a variety of industries. You will oversee the preparation and review of accounts, deliver advisory services, and ensure clients meet their statutory and compliance obligations. This is a key role within the firm, working closely with senior management to drive the practice forward while mentoring and supporting junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, providing a range of accountancy services.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of statutory accounts, management accounts, and financial statements.
  • Provide clients with business advisory services, including financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Manage and mentor a team of junior staff, providing guidance and technical support.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the main point of contact.
  • Liaise with partners and senior management to support business growth and development initiatives.
Requirements
  • ACA/ACCA qualified with a practising certificate
  • Strong experience within an accountancy practice, with a focus on accounts preparation and client management.
  • Knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to manage and mentor junior staff.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • A proactive, problem-solving approach and a team-oriented attitude.
