Accounts Payable Clerk - Rutherford Briant : Job Details

Are you an experienced and ambitious Accounts Payable professional seeking a new opportunity within a global organisation?

We have partnered with a highly successful, international logistics firm based in Chelmsford who are seeking to recruit an Accounts Payable Clerk on a temporary-to-permanent basis to join their Global Accounts Payable department.

You will be reporting into the Senior Management Accountant carrying out a wide range of responsibilities including multi-currency payments, high volume invoice processing, supplier statement reconciliations, month-end reports etc.

The role is paying a salary up to £29,000, as well as hybrid working, study support, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, private healthcare, competitive bonuses, a clear route for progression and more!

Responsibilities:

• Building good relationships with key suppliers.
• Maintaining good supplier records and updating payment terms.
• Supplier statement reconciliations.
• High volume invoice processing across various currencies.
• Reconciling foreign currency supplier accounts.
• Regularly running Accounts Payable reports, raising issues where necessary.
• Resolving internal and external queries relating to purchase ledger.
• Ad-hoc duties for Management Accountant where required.

Requirements:

• Previous experience within Accounts Payable.
• Multi-currency payments exposure (MUST).
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Intermediate Excel skills.
• AAT qualification/part qualification (ideal).
