About the role:

As Accounts Payable Lead, you’ll provide steadfast and supportive leadership to the Accounts Payable team, sharing your experience and knowledge of this field. Reporting into our Finance Operations Manager, you’ll oversee the daily operation of the team, ensuring a high standard of accuracy and compliance with company policies and SLAs, as well as maintaining strong vendor relationships.

Based in Avonmouth on a hybrid working basis – 2-3 days per week.

Compensation – competitive salary, bonus scheme, pension, 4 x life assurance, healthcare, 25 days leave annually (including Christmas shutdown)

What you will be doing:

  • Ensure all daily activities are actioned within agreed timescales and in line with agreed SLAs
  • Produce all AP Reporting, including Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Manage a team of 6, driving performance and team development
  • Support the Finance Operations Manager, assisting with identifying and implementing control-based improvements to processes and systems
  • Partner with teams across the business to improve data quality and process

About you:

  • Experience of team leadership within Accounts Payable environments
  • A deep understanding of accounting principles and Accounts Payable processes (AAT qualifications are nice to have but not essential)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with confidence to communicate with stakeholders across the business
  • Knowledge of GRNI process
  • A background in retail would be highly desirable
  • Must have an existing right of eligibility to work in the UK
