Accounts Payable Officer - College - Full-time - Permanent - Richmond

Salary: £27,387 to £29,815 per annum inclusive of London Weighting

Hours: 36 hours per week

At Clarus Education, we are recruiting for a college who are currently seeking a full-time Accounts Payable Officer, to work in their Finance Department based in Richmond.

To be considered for the Finance Officer opportunity, you must:

• Have strong communication skills as the postholder will be required to explain financial concepts to other departments within the business when required and there will be a lot of contact with key stakeholders including internal and external customers and suppliers
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and knowledge of key financial concepts such as accruals and prepayments
• Have good time management and understanding of accounting systems, journals and month-end responsibilities in order to meet deadlines

Person Specification

Qualifications

• Good standard of general education (GCSE or equivalent including Maths and English)
• Studying for AAT or CCAB

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Experience of computerised accounting systems and procedures
• Understanding of basic principles of accounting
• Experience in general administrative role
• Experience working on own initiative
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good standard of numeracy
• Good communication Skills
• Experience of working on own initiative
• Effective team member
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
