Accounts Payable Supervisor - Reed : Job Details

Reed Accountancy are partnering with a growing group of businesses who are looking to recruit an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor for a newly created role in their London office.

Key aspects of the role:

• Supervising the accounts payable team responsible for four trading brands and head office ledger
• Communicating with relevant suppliers to process invoicing or payment queries
• Posting invoices and credit notes and ensuring they are coded correctly in the system
• Preparing monthly supplier statement reconciliations
• Dealing with external and internal queries
• Preparing and processing supplier payments and ensuring that all payments are approved
• Ensuring that all accounts payable activities comply with relevant financial policies and procedures
• Investigating and resolving outstanding creditor items

Your experience:

• Previous experience leading a growing AP function in a group environment
• Solid understanding of UK VAT rules
• Comfortable using Sage accounting software and MS Office
• Excellent communication skills
• Previous experience of managing and motivating a small team
• Ability to prioritise workload for self and for the team
• Good time management and organisational skills
• Personable approach but resilient when required
• Keen attention to detail
• Flexible and adaptable to changing business demands
