Accounts Receivable Assistant

We are currently looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Assistant to join our client's finance team on a three-month fixed-term contract. This role is based in Ipswich and offers an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices to ensure prompt payment.
- Handle customer queries related to accounts receivable and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions and update the financial database.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and prepare relevant reports.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an accounts receivable or similar finance role.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle queries efficiently.
