About the Company:A reputable and growing accountancy practice based in Warrington is seeking an Accounts Semi Senior to join their team. The Role:As an Accounts Semi Senior, you will assist in preparing accounts, supporting senior accountants, and maintaining client relationships. You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients across different sectors, enhancing your technical knowledge and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing financial statements for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies in accordance with UK GAAP.
- Assisting in the preparation of VAT returns, management accounts, and bookkeeping assignments.
- Supporting senior staff in the preparation of year-end accounts and tax computations.
- Maintaining client records, including bookkeeping and reconciliations using accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.
- Assisting with the preparation of corporate and personal tax returns.
- Liaising with clients to resolve queries and provide support as needed.
- Supporting the audit team with client audits, as required.
- Working closely with senior accountants to ensure work is completed on time and to a high standard.
- Developing and maintaining client relationships to ensure excellent service delivery.
Requirements:
- Part-qualified ACA/ACCA or AAT qualified (or equivalent).
- At least 1-2 years’ experience working in an accountancy practice.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards (UK GAAP).
- Experience with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks is desirable.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with clients and colleagues.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- A proactive approach to work, with a willingness to learn and develop professionally.
