Public Practice specialists Taylor Rose Recruitment are working with a progressive firm of Chartered Accountants in Newcastle-upon-Tyne who are seeking an Accounts Senior to join their team.

Perfect for a part or recently qualified individual (MAAT also considered) working in general practice seeking continued professional development, a flexible/ supportive environment, and an excellent work/ life balance.

You will be working with a varied client base including SMEs and OMBs from an interesting range of sectors, involving frequent client liaison and more advisory work as you progress.

The Role:

Preparation/ review of statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companiesDrafting corporation tax computationsPreparation & review of VAT returns & bookkeepingPreparation of management accountsClient meetingsClient advisory work (eg. tax planning) as you progressAdvising clients on accountancy softwareDealing with client queries

You:

MAAT or ACA/ ACCA PQ/ QualifiedPractice experience is essentialAccounts prep experience under FRS105 & FRS102Good working knowledge of Xero, Quickbooks (ideally)Strong communication skills
