Accounts & Tax Manager Cambridge Office Based Salary £50,000 - £65,000

Butler Rose is pleased to represent our esteemed client in Cambridge, that is seeking a skilled Accounts & Tax Manager. This role, will involve collaborating closely with the Head of Accounts & Business Tax and the Head of Personal Tax to give clients a comprehensive service.

Role Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse client portfolio.
• Prepare and review annual accounts and tax returns.
• Oversee VAT returns, R&D tax credit calculations, and other statutory year-end processes.
• Develop budgets, cash flow forecasts, and consolidated group accounts.
• Mentor junior team members to ensure high standards of client satisfaction.

Personal Requirements

• ACA or ACCA qualified a practising certificate with ACCA or willingness to work toward it is ideal.
• Minimum 5 years in a dynamic accounting practice, with proven expertise in tax, financial reporting, and client management.
• Proficient in software such as IRIS, Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and TaxCalc.
• Someone who enjoys being pro-active and challenging themself to find solutions
• A good communicator both written and verbal
• Very organised, able to prioritise work and adhere to deadlines
