Part-Time Administrator

- Pay: £12.93 per hour
We are seeking a Part-Time Administrator to join Bolton Council's administrative team, supporting the Referral and Assessment team. This role involves a variety of statutory duties aimed at supporting Social Workers and enhancing team efficiency.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide administrative support to Social Workers, including arranging meetings and completing statutory checks as required.
- Handle the sending of letters and assessments to professionals and families.
- Retrieve and collate documents from various sources.
- Work effectively with other team members to support and improve the work of the team.
- Plan, organise, and develop work to meet specified requirements and deadlines.
- Record, store, and supply information by maintaining and using information systems, including databases.
- Respond and communicate effectively to internal and external customers.
- Assist in designing, creating, and producing a range of documents from various sources to specified deadlines.
- Manage photocopying, reproduction, distribution, and processing of documents.
- Prepare and maintain documents for storage and archiving following Departmental and Council guidelines.
- Receive, sort, and coordinate the distribution of mail, both electronic and manual.
- Order and distribute specified goods and services, including receipting, recording, monitoring, and making payments in line with policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Assist with the management and organisation of diaries, including business travel.
- Contribute to the arrangement and setting up of meetings, events, and conferences.
- Attend meetings to take notes/minutes and produce appropriate final documentation for distribution.
- Transcribe and produce documents from recorded speech.
- Deliver and coordinate a reliable reception service and develop customer relationships, including receiving and assisting visitors as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within a similar setting.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using office software and information systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
