Job Advert: Administrator - PMO Support Location: Severn Trent HQ, Coventry (Flexible Working: 3 days in office, 2 days from home) Salary: £15.38 per hour (£30,000 pro rata) Contract Type: Contract role until March 2025 ________________________________________ About the Role:Severn Trent is seeking a dedicated and motivated Administrator - PMO Support to join their dynamic Group Transformation team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for project management and a desire to contribute to impactful projects. You will play a vital role in supporting the rollout of 1000 water quality meters and the establishment of a waste operational control centre, aiming for completion by March 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the programme team, ensuring effective and efficient governance and risk management.
- Assist in setting up the governance structure and organizing meetings.
- Implement and embed new and improved processes from the PMO portfolio office.
- Serve as a conduit between the portfolio office and programme teams for reporting and insights.
- Promote, embed, and coach the application of frameworks, processes, standards, and templates.
- Support requirements gathering and backlog refinement.
- Maintain and curate SharePoint and Teams sites associated with the programme team.
- Build effective working relationships with internal functions and external suppliers.
- Participate actively in programme/project meetings and agile ceremonies.
- Complete business as usual administration in a timely and high-quality manner.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of services and capabilities.
- Support the change community in using selected tools through training and support.
- Provide cover for other team members when required.
Experience & Skills Required:
- Strong administrative skills, ideally with PMO experience.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products, SharePoint, Teams, Jira, and project planning tools.
- Basic understanding of project management methodologies and techniques.
- Experience in a change environment and delivering a range of support services.
- Proven ability to facilitate meetings, workshops, and planning events.
- Experience conducting assurance, audits, and health checks.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships.
- Strong planning, organization, and coordination skills with attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with a can do attitude and good time management skills.
