The Admissions Administrative Assistant is a front-facing, customer service-oriented position that requires excellent administrative skills and a commitment to providing outstanding service.

Admissions Administrative Assistant:

  • Salary: £30,161 Per annum
  • Job Type: Term-time plus eight additional weeks (42 weeks per year)
  • Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week with occasional evenings and weekends

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Respond professionally and efficiently to telephone, email, and face-to-face inquiries, ensuring all families receive excellent service.
  • Process registrations using the school's database, check applications, request additional information, and manage communications with prospective students and their families.
  • Facilitate and help deliver admissions events such as open days, interview days, and new joiner events.
  • Administer and collate candidate references, scholarship applications, and special educational needs reports.
  • Assist with the preparation of interview materials and exam papers.
  • Support the administration of bursary applications and the onboarding of new students.
  • Create and update marketing materials and admissions pages on the website.
  • Manage the diary for the Admissions Department and the Director of Admissions and Bursaries.
  • Undertake general administrative duties to support the smooth running of the Admissions Department.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven administrative experience with excellent attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral, with proficiency in English.
  • Highly numerate with excellent IT skills, including Excel and Google Docs.
  • Experience with mail merges and spreadsheet management.
  • Knowledge of iSAMS or similar MIS is desirable.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • A systematic approach to tasks and a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
