Adult English Lecturer

A college in Derby is seeking a dedicated Adult English Lecturer to join their team on a temporary basis. The role involves covering afternoon and evening classes, teaching Functional Skills English Entry 3 and Level 2 to adult learners across three different locations.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver engaging and effective Functional Skills English lessons to adult learners at Entry 3 and Level 2.
- Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to meet the needs of diverse learners.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to ensure academic development.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and progress.
- Collaborate with other faculty members to enhance teaching methods and participate in professional development activities.
- Ensure a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must hold a teaching qualification.
- Level 2 qualification in Maths.
- Level 3 qualification in English.
- Current DBS on the update service.
- Proven experience teaching Functional Skills English at Entry 3 and Level 1.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learner needs.
