Air Export Operator - Right Now Group : Job Details

Right Now Group are recruiting for an exciting opportunity within a growing Freight Forwarder in Slough Our Client is looking to bring aboard an Air Export Operator responsible for both Air and Ocean Exports.

Responsibilities of an Air Export Operator:

• Coordinate Air and Ocean freight shipments, ensuring smooth transportation and timely delivery of goods.
• Book shipments with airlines, ocean carriers for both air and ocean freight exports.
• Prepare all required documentation, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and internal procedures.
• Arrange collections with external parties and create bookings
• Provide quotations to customers and prospects
• Manage new bookings and receive pre-alerts
• Prepare customs entries via CDS
• Negotiate terms and rates with carriers, optimising routes and identifying cost-effective shipping solutions.
• Booking shipments into CargoWise
• Maintain and pass KPI Service standards
• Track shipment status' to provide information to clients
• Identify and ensure smooth resolution of any incidents

Requirements of an Air Export Operator:

• A background in Air Exports (Will be cross trained in Ocean Exports)
• Customs Clearance Experience using CDS
• Full 5 year referenceable history & DBS check required
• Industry Knowledge
• Attention to detail
• Excellent Communication skills both written and verbal
• Knowledge of CargoWise (Desirable)
