Air Import Co-Ordinator - Freightserve : Job Details

Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Air Import Co-Ordinator for a well-established busy Freight Forwarder based in the Altrincham, Manchester area.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Handle shipments from door to door.
• Prepare and submit customs entries.
• Respond to clients in a timely manner.
• Invoice jobs in a timely manner.
• • Loading of information into CW1.
  • Close liaison with customs compliance manager.
  • To handle daily import operations for Manchester client base.
  • To work closely with the air export department to help cover as a full airfreight department.
  • To liaise with clients in relation to documentation, delivery and charges, if required.
  • Quotations for clients and overseas agents
  • Monitor ETA and advise of any changes.
  • Ensure customer has all required docs, I.E. PODs, copy C88 etc..

  Person Specification:-

  • Good communication skills
  • Good organization skills and effective time management & working practices
  • Manage time effectively
  • Commercial awareness
  • Attention to detail
  • IT Literate in Microsoft Office
  • Problem solving
  • Applicant would ideally have 2-3 years recent relevant industry experience with previous involvement in Air Imports from quote to delivered.
  • CW1 experience an advantage but not essential as full training and support will be provided.
