Airfreight Import Clerk - Freightserve : Job Details

Freightserve recruitment are looking for an Airfreight Import Clerk for a Worldwide Freight Forwarder. The company is based in the Colnbrook, Berkshire area.

RESPONSIBILITIES:-

• Liaise / communicate closely with clients on all aspects of the import process
• Co-ordination with overseas offices.
• Complete customs declarations correctly allowing smooth customs clearance.
• Arrange cargo delivery.
• Co-Ordination with Warehouse in support of Import Clearance, Storage and Delivery to Customer.
• Liaise with airlines / handling agents.
• Preparation and processing of customer Invoicing.

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:-

• 5 - 10 Years’ experience within an Air Import Dept.
• Strong Administration background with High level of Written and Verbal communication skills.
• Be able to communicate with customers and colleagues using all mediums.
• Knowledge of ASM / UFS systems.
• Knowledge of HMRC processes and procedures.

Ability to:-

• Work on own initiative.
• Handle customers and their queries.
• Willingness to work shift pattern, including weekends.
• Be a team player.
• Have a positive attitude.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
• Communicate effectively with our clients.
