Job Title: Alternative Investments Analyst - InternPeriod: 6 Month Internship 5 days a weekLocation: London Office

Gold Grain Capital is an FCA regulated trading firm boutique specialized in structured products. Headquartered in Mayfair, London, it has an international client base. The team is small and the role would suit someone flexible in their approach to working in a boutique environment and a standalone position. The Gold Grain team work closely together to solve customers' needs and complex situations. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience in alternative investments and structured products, supporting our team in various tasks related to client interactions and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in researching and analyzing alternative investment products and opportunities.
  • Supporting the preparation of marketing materials and investment catalogues.
  • Helping with negotiations with product providers and learning about commission and distribution agreements.
  • Assisting in structuring investment solutions like securitisation vehicles and Alternative Management Companies (AMCs).
  • Learning how to structure and sell alternative investment solutions to clients.
  • Assisting in preparing Excel models, analytics, and financial reports.
  • Supporting sales efforts by helping to reach out to clients and introducers.
  • Participating in project work and supporting the team on various initiatives.
  • Assisting in the preparation of presentations, product fact sheets, and marketing materials.
  • General administrative support, including:
    • Communicating with third-party service providers.
    • Preparing reports on business activities.

Essential Skills & Requirements:

  • Italian language skills strongly preferred
  • A strong interest in alternative investments, including private equity, real estate, and hedge funds.
  • Willingness to learn about financial regulations (e.g., EMIR/ESMA/FCA).
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Programming experience (Python, VBA, R, SQL, or similar) is preferred.
  • An eagerness to develop technical and operational skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently, think critically, and solve problems.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Some experience or coursework related to finance, investments, or business.
  • Familiarity with Bloomberg or other financial platforms is a bonus but not required.
