We’re looking for an ambitious individual with strong relationship-building skills to become our new Ambassador Manager. If you’re an enthusiastic, creative, and self-motivated individual, with a track record in growing and nurturing high-profile relationships with a creative approach to reach new audiences, then this is the role for you.
You’ll be joining the team at an exciting time, as we launch our first every ambassador programme in our 130-year history. You will use creative ways to promote the work of the National Trust to develop and grow our network of ambassadors.
What it's like to work hereReporting to the Head of Media Partnerships, the Ambassador Manager role is brand new and yours to mould as you see fit to fulfil our long term goals.
Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon, and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview.
This is a 1 year fixed term contract.
What you'll be doingYour role as Ambassador Manager will be to identify, cultivate relationships and steward high-profile individuals and experts to promote our work to new and existing audiences in line with our charitable objectives. In particular, you will employ creative ways to appeal to new and under-represented audiences using free and social media.
You’ll also assess suitability, carry out due diligence on individuals and identify media and fundraising opportunities as well as events through the year, while promoting strategic organisational objectives of public access, appealing to new audiences and addressing our heritage, nature and climate ambitions.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:
• An understanding of recruiting, managing and deploying high profile individuals to represent an organisation or charity
• A knowledge of planning, stakeholder management and overseeing complex workstreams
• An understanding of free media and social media platforms and content creation, in particular how to utilise them to reach new and under-represented audiences.
• Knowledge of high-profile individuals in the public eye that represent the whole of society and an understanding of how they might support an organisation.
• Organisational and planning skills Excellent attention to detail while able to juggle and prioritise an often competing workload
You’ll be personable, persuasive and able to influence and negotiate and you will be up to date with social media trends and how best to tap into them to further cause of the charity.
