Job Description

Job title: Analytical Engineer

  • Job Type: Permanent 
  • Hours: 37.5
  • Job Location: Middlesbrough
  • Travel  Approximately  15%
  • Salary £28k - £32k

Main Purpose of Role

We’re looking for a motivated Analytical Engineer  to join our dynamic team in Middlesbrough. In this role, you’ll travel to customer sites to carry out gas testing, equipment service, and calibration, all while working closely with our dedicated team of engineers, scientists, and other departments. Full training will be provided from our offices in Ireland and external vendors as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Travel to customer sites for gas testing and sample retrieval for laboratory analysis.
  • Perform service and calibration of equipment.
  • Provide technical support and prepare detailed reports.
  • Build expertise in gas analysis instrumentation, process gas instrumentation, and basic chemistry.
  • Develop a deep understanding of testing standards and analysis methods.
  • Assist in identifying root causes of quality issues and performance gaps.
  • Support the Quality Manager in maintaining the Quality Management System.
  • Create and maintain company quality documents.
  • Comply with company policies and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 3rd level qualification in a relevant field
  • Full, clean driver’s license.
