Acacium Group Location: remote with regular travel to UK officesPermanent, full time (flexibility required to work occasional out of hours and weekends)Competitive salary plus upto 15% annual  bonus and excellent benefits

As an Applications Manager, you will implement Agile best practices within your team to convert all requirements into well-defined specifications. You will also develop appropriate testing plans and technical delivery schedules for team members and vendor partners to execute. Your goal will be to deliver the simplest and least customized solutions to effectively meet business needs whenever possible.

You will collaborate with vendor partners for the applications you oversee, understanding their proposed roadmaps and assisting the Head of Patient Service Platforms in aligning these with Acacium Group’s requirements. Additionally, you will help define and implement mechanisms to monitor the quality of services provided, ensuring that costs are managed and benchmarked effectively.

Every day you will…

  • Act as the operational service owner for our patient service platforms working closely with key stakeholders across the group to ensure operational performance against agreed SLA and KPIs, monitoring performance against agreed metrics
  • Assist the delivery of technical roadmaps & plans for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the patient service platforms through improved stability, capacity management, quality and cost effectiveness
  • Use best practices and the ITIL framework to drive continual process improvement culture within your Platforms
  • Assist the definition of Agile usage within global technology operations & implement these within your team, including SCRUM for management of delivery schedules
  • Assist the delivery of projects focusing on implementing new capabilities, features, or enhancements within the patient service platforms you manage
  • Deliver improvements to your platforms, preparing business cases as needed for funding

To thrive in this role, you must have...

  • Experience of working with and preferably implementing Agile methodologies to manage delivery either for software product development or SaaS configuration
  • Demonstrated experience of platform ownership/management
  • In depth knowledge of Atlassian or comparable products – specifically JIRA & Confluence
  • Demonstrated knowledge & usage of core ITSM processes
  • Able to identify improvements to processes & technical configuration
