The role

What You’ll Do:We’re looking for a highly skilled Applications Analyst to play a key role in the delivery and continuous improvement of our housing service applications. You will:

  • Support, maintain, and enhance corporate applications (NEC Housing), ensuring system reliability and optimal performance.
  • Work as part of a team of specialist analysts, providing technical expertise and covering for colleagues when required.
  • Develop and improve services, ensuring Southwark Council benefits from cutting-edge solutions.
  • Manage, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues, ensuring minimal disruption to users.
  • Work confidently with data, using SQL to manipulate, report, and extract insights from corporate systems.
  • Share knowledge and document processes, fostering a collaborative and knowledgeable team environment.
  • Contribute to shaping significant changes in the Housing Application landscape, ensuring Southwark Council remains at the forefront of public sector technology.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Proven experience as an Applications Analyst using critical tools for data management, reporting, and delivering valuable insights.
  • Knowledge of Housing or Public Sector applications such as NEC Housing is highly advantageous.
  • Strong SQL skills, with the ability to query, manipulate, and report on data effectively.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, troubleshooting, and system optimisation.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • A problem-solving mindset, with a focus on efficiency, automation, and innovation.
  • Skilled in driving systemic change management across organisations.
  • Expertise in defining and analysing business processes and data flows.
  • Extensive experience in managing technology upgrades and transformations.
  • This role offers flexible home working blended with travel into our London Bridge HQ.
