The Role

We have two exciting roles available for Network Engineering Apprentices here at Freshwave. This will be a 2-year programme where you will gain the necessary skills, knowledge and behaviours to become an expert in network planning, installation and maintenance. Throughout the programme you will learn how to:  

• Install, configure, and test appropriate network components 
• Acquire and analyse network performance data to monitor network activity 
• Optimise and maintain the performance of network systems  
• Investigate and problem solve network issues 
• Undertake upgrades to a network infrastructure  
• Manage risks and health and safety 
• Ensure all network engineering activity complies policies and standards 

Requirements

About You 

• Passionate and interested in Network Engineering
• Desirable qualifications:
  • an A-Level in ICT
  • OR an International Baccalaureate at Level 3 ICT
  • OR an A-Level 3 apprenticeship in a similar subject
  • OR a BTEC Extended Diploma in IT Excellent communication skills 
• Familiar with the use of Microsoft Office 
• Good critical thinking and problem-solving skills 
• Excellent planning and organising skills 
• Face-to-face working in an office-based environment experience desirable
