Connect2socialwork are urgently looking for a Social Worker to join their great Adolescence Safeguarding team with a Pay rate up to £42 an hour on a locum basis.

Job Description;

• Conduct Mental Health Act assessments to determine the need for compulsory admission to a mental health facility.

• Consider the least restrictive options for treatment and care in line with legal and ethical principles.

• Work in partnership with service users, carers, healthcare professionals, and statutory agencies to coordinate care and ensure continuity.

• Facilitate communication between multi-disciplinary teams, including doctors, nurses, social workers, and other mental health professionals.

• Safeguard the rights, dignity, and well-being of individuals under the Mental Health Act. Advocate for service users to ensure their voices are heard in care planning and decision-making.

• Ensure all actions and decisions comply with the Mental Health Act, related legislation, and local authority policies.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including statutory forms, reports, and care plans. Provide timely and effective responses during mental health crises, including risk assessments and managing challenging situations.

• Support the professional development of colleagues and provide training on mental health legislation and best practices.

• Stay updated on legislative changes, policies, and procedures relevant to the AMHP role

• SWE Registration
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Drive and have access to a car
• Post-qualified experience
• Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
