About The RoleThe Area Manager is responsible for:
- Providing strong, inspirational team leadership by setting and modelling the right behaviours and delivering effective and relevant communication
- Driving area resource and recruitment and managing performance through bespoke individual coaching and development plans, promoting and inspiring team engagement
- Taking accountability for team turnover, attrition & absence and succession plans
- Completing regular business and performance reviews and developing a progressive commercial plan with each Store Manager
- Driving commerciality and local business building plans throughout the Area persistently reviewing KPI performance and creating remedial actions where required
- Actively promoting outstanding Customer Service and ensuring a sound understanding of local markets and opportunities
- Modelling and Inspiring the Store Operations Strategy
- Carrying out regular Store Commercial Audits driving consistently high standards throughout the Area
- Driving all Operational KPIs – revenue, stock, H&S, compliance, store standards, merchandising and security
- Working closely with the Store Operations Manager, H&S Manager, HR Manager, Management Accountants, Fleet Manager, Property Manager and Audit Manager to ensure in store compliance with all applicable processes at all times
