Job Title: Area Sales Manager - Plumbers Merchants & Bathroom ShowroomsIndustry Sector: Builders Merchants, Plumbers Merchants, Independent Bathroom Showrooms, KBB, Bathroom Furniture and Sanitaryware

Area to be covered: Scotland - ideally based central belt Remuneration: Up to £50,000 Neg. + up to 20% Bonus

Benefits: Fully expensed Hybrid Car & Full BenefitsThe role of the Area Sales Manager Plumbers Merchants & Bathroom Showrooms will involve:

• Field sales position, selling our clients manufactured range of bathroom furniture and sanitaryware
• Account managing circa 120 plumbing and builders merchants and member of buying groups (split 70% nationals, 30% independents) and approx. 30 mid-high end bathroom retail showrooms
• Calling on accounts on a 8-16 week cycle dependent on size
• Revenue responsibility of circa £8m
• 80% account management and 20% new business development (recruiting new accounts/ generating new relationships with bathroom retailers - growth area)
• Stabilising the largest territory by postcodes for our client in the UK, currently performing 9% below budget expectation
• Working in a "buddy" system with a Specification Manager, who will be responsible for house builders, architects, interior designers and plumbing contractors

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager Plumbers Merchants & Bathroom Showrooms with:

• Proven field sales experience with plumbers merchants or independent bathroom retailers
• Previous bathroom/ sanitaryware or kitchen product sales would be a distinct advantage
• Proven track record of building strong relationships and achieving annual targets
• Stable career history
• Outgoing personality comfortable with entertaining clients and attending evening events
• Team player
• Strong focus on customer satisfaction
• Tenacious, self motivated and confident
