Role: ASD Learning Assistant

Location: SE18, South East London

Contract: Full time

Rate: £90-£105 per day

School Type: Higher Education

At Remedy we are seeking a dedicated and passionate ASD Learning Assistant who is willing to support a year 5 child. As an ASD Learning Assistant you will, you will be dealing with challenging behaviour and using the best reinforcement techniques to support this child.

The principality of your role would be to help post 16 students with their Maths and English.

ASD Teaching Assistant | The ideal candidate:

• Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
• Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
• Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the educational environment.
