Long Term Futures are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Haringey, N15, seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 1 pupil with Autism (ASD). This is a long-term opportunity for a compassionate and proactive individual who can provide tailored support to help the pupil thrive academically and socially.

Key responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD, helping them engage with learning
- Implement strategies to promote emotional regulation and positive behaviour
- Use visual timetables, reward charts, and structured routines to support development
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt lessons and resources
- Assist with personal care if required
- Encourage social interaction and independence within the classroom
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working with children with Autism, ideally in an educational setting
- Confidence using visual aids and structured learning techniques
- A calm and patient approach to supporting young learners
- A relevant teaching assistant qualification or degree in psychology/education (desirable but not essential)
