Therefore, all candidates must have the right to work in the UK.Due to the nature of our business, security clearance may be required.Job Purpose:To co-ordinate, carry out and oversee bearing assembly, test and related operations within designated Assembly Cells.Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all employees are aware of and comply to the Company Health and Safety Regulations and that the work area of the Cell and all machinery and equipment within the Cell are at all times clean and free of hazards.
  • To organise and control staff in the most cost effective way to achieve objectives on cost, quality and timeliness, ensuring maximum utilisation of Cell resources.
  • To engage and develop staff, ensuring that the correct balance of skills are maintained, identifying training needs of staff and implementing training programmes.
  • To measure the performance of the Cell against objectives on cost, quality and timeliness, identifying and implementing necessary corrective action to ensure the achievement of objectives.
  • Communicate with Service Departments to ensure prompt resolution of problems not able to be resolved within the Cell and effecting the achievement of objectives.
  • Communicate with Cell employees on all problems affecting the performance of the Cell, overall Company objectives and performance and the need for change when necessary.
  • Communicate with other Cell Leaders to maintain overall Company objectives on cost, quality and timeliness.
  • Assist with and perform product and procedural audits necessary to satisfy assurance requirements on Company standards.
  • To council and discipline, as stated in the Employee Handbook, employees who fail to achieve and maintain Company standards.
  • Communicate with the Operations Manager on problems that the Area Leader is unable to resolve.
