Assembly Technician

This role is ideal for someone with experience in mechanical engineering or manufacturing environments. The position involves precision assembly and mechanical fitting within a dynamic production environment, requiring a strong team-working ethic and a high level of attention to detail.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assemble components accurately in line with technical drawings and specifications.
- Perform rework and fitting of components prior to final assembly.
- Conduct precision measurement of components to ensure quality.
- Identify and pick parts from the Kanban system, maintaining organisation and efficiency.
- Maintain full traceability of components with paperwork and digital documentation.
- Book sub-assemblies to stock, ensuring inventory accuracy.
- Operate and record results from automated test rigs, managing the installation and removal of gearboxes.
- Collate components, preserve, and pack completed assemblies for dispatch.
- Contribute to the improvement and maintenance of a high level of 5S throughout the assembly environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in precision assembly or mechanical fitting.
- Strong team-working ethic and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent multi-tasking abilities and independent work management.
- Willingness to learn new skills and contribute to a multidisciplinary team.
- High attention to detail and conscientious approach to work.
- Familiarity with IT basics, Microsoft Office, and operating systems.
- Comfortable with basic mathematical equations and measurements.
- Full process-specific training will be provided.
