Job Description :

My client are looking for a proactive Assistant Account Manager to support Account Managers in managing a diverse portfolio of accounts. This role is integral to maintaining high turnover with acceptable profit margins and identifying opportunities for new accounts that promise long-term agreements and profitable growth.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Support Account Managers in managing and administering customer accounts.
  • Identify and source parts from a wide range of global suppliers.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations in response to customer enquiries in a timely manner.
  • Process customer orders and ensure high standards of customer service are maintained.
  • Work closely with all members of the Asia team and cover for other team members when out of the office.
  • Plan and prioritise personal sales activities and customer/prospect contact towards achieving agreed business aims, including costs and sales.
  • Manage product/service mix, pricing and margins according to agreed aims using supplier, market and product knowledge to recommend strategic sources of items.
  • Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate and ethical sales methods to optimise quality of service, business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Respond to and follow up on sales enquiries, monitor and report on market and competitor activities.
  • Attend and present at external customer and supplier meetings, internal meetings and other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business development.
  • Participate in exhibitions, seminars and regular strategy meetings to share experiences and promote new ideas to project the company forward.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in sales or account management.
  • Strong understanding of best practice buying methods including supplier selection, price and lead time negotiation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining strong relationships.
  • Good organisational skills and the capacity to manage multiple projects.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and CRM software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
