Assistant Accountant (12 Month FTC)Torbay, DevonC. £30,000

Our client based in Torbay are seeking to appoint an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their dynamic team on a full-time, 12 month fixed-term contract.

As the Assistant Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the accounts payable team, and handling tasks such as creating accrual journals, conducting analysis, generating reports and performing balance sheet reconciliations.

The responsibilities:

• Completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Producing overhead analysis.
• Handling the submission of National Statistics, providing support to the accounts payable team, and covering and supporting daily banking activities and expenses.
• Supporting the annual audit and performing other ad hoc duties as required by the Finance Manager.

The candidate:

• AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA.
• Previous experience of working in a similar position.
• Previous experience of working with multiple finance systems/software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive, energetic team player committed to results.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, confidentiality, and adaptability.
