Halliday Marx have partnered with superb Tech SME to hire an Assistant Accountant on a permanent basis. The candidate must be based in Jersey, but the role will be fully working from home to start with and then will become hybrid 1-2 days a week in the office.

Responsibilities;
20% Accounts Receivable
- Email Intercompany sales invoices in a timely manner.
- Prepares and maintain debtors report/overdue list
- Resolves all customer disputes in a timely manner.
- Keep the Finance Manager informed of the progress of the collection of all overdue debts
50% Accounts Payable
- Cross-checks the accuracy of purchase invoices/ staff expense claims and ensures they match the relevant purchase orders and/or agreements.
- Processes purchase invoices in accounting system..
- Ensures that purchase invoices are accompanied by an approved purchase order/ signed supplier order form.
- Requests bank details from suppliers as required, ensuring that an email and phone confirmation is made.
- Arranges invoices, splitting between invoices to be paid and invoices to be approved.
- Ensures that soft copies of all relevant purchase invoices are saved with proper file name on the One Drive in a timely manner for the payment runs.
20% Cashbooks
- Prepares cashflows for all the relevant bank accounts
- Updates the cashflows for payments
- Ensure all cash books, both excel and accounting system, reconcile at month end.
- Preparing bookkeeping journals on a weekly basis for review by Financial Controller.
10% Fixed Asset Register/Audit
- Update Fixed Asset Registers (FAR) with the required
- Inter company accounting work and confirmations
- Supplies the required audit information to the auditors upon their request in a timely manner.
Requirements;
- Living in Jersey
- 2-3 years experience in bookkeeping and Treasury
- Outstanding communication skills
