The Company:Such a great opportunity has become available for an Assistant Accountant.  This role is ideal for candidates who may have gained solid experience in an Accounts Assistant role and are looking to take their next steps into supporting Accountancy functions. Have you stared your AAT? Do you want to start your AAT? This client is happy to look at candidates at different stages and offer a study support package.This organisation is offering a hybrid model of 2-3 days home working in this full-time roleThe Role:

• Assist reconciliations from the Sales, Payroll, Purchasing and Treasury departments into the monthly management accounts, also making the relevant accruals and prepayments
• Reporting variances against budget,  and/or investigate any anomalies to ensure 100% accuracy.
• Develop working relationships within the wider finance team to ensure all necessary information flows to enable production of the monthly management accounts.
• Contribute to the process of continuous improvements in the department. To increase the efficiency and quality of all aspects of the accounting and reporting functions
• Assist with the production of routine and ad hoc analysis and reports, as required by the Head of Management Accounts

The Person:

• Support and development will be on hand in this role, we need the right attitude and for the candidate to want to progress into Accounts support and prep.
• Solid systems and Excel knowhow will be required on a day to day basis
• Happy with a hybrid working model.
