Intervl are partnered with a leading electronics manufacturer with their search for an Assistant Accountant to join their growing team in Birmingham. You will prepare monthly management accounts, manage accounts payable/receivable, handle payroll, and assist with VAT & PAYE reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monthly financial closings & reconciliations
- Cash flow, budgeting & ad hoc financial reports
- Ensure accuracy of financial statements
- Work closely with the Financial Controller to ensure goals are met
- Assisting with audits & regulatory reporting
- Supporting with month and year-end close process
- Lead and develop an Accounts Assistant in the team
- Credit Control
Requirements:
- AAT/ ACCA qualifications or a degree in Accounting/Finance
- Experience in a similar position with management experience
- A versatile character that is a well rounded accounts professional
- Strong Excel & finance software skills
- Analytical mindset & strong attention to detail
This role is office based.
